Originally made by TPI in California. When Leitz bought the motor they changed the name to New York Motor and used a name-plate similar in size to the TPI name-plate only on their very early N.Y. Motors. Then came out with their smaller round "E.Leitz,N.Y." name-plate that's on most of the N.Y. Motors. Parts were still made by TPI, then shipped to E.Leitz in New York where the motors were assembled. The later N.Y. Motors also had an up-dated plug-in jack for remote control and a power jack.
